The 122,000-square-foot building sits adjacent to Rice Pool & Water Park and is accessible for persons with disabilities. Cosley Zoo 1356 Gary Ave. Wheaton, IL 60187 630-665-5534 Cosley Zoo was recently granted official accreditation by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, which was founded in 1924 and currently represents 181 accredited zoos and aquariums in North America. A trip to Cosley offers visitors a chance to get up close to a large variety of domestic farm animals and native Illinoise wildlife. You will see cows, horses, sheep, goats, llamas, deer, birds, raccoons, rabbits, chickens, pigs, birds of prey, coyotes, burro, and foxes. Cosley Zoo provides paved pathways, which are accessible for strollers and persons with disabilities. Cosley Zoo offers various educational programs for all ages and outreach programs for schools and other groups. Wildlife includes white-tailed deer, red fox, mink, owls, muskrats, birds, and waterfowl. Thousands of people visit the marsh each year for programs, bird watching, hiking biking, cross-country skiing, or a quiet picnic.
